The customer has a key role to play in the printing process – checking for mistakes! Sometimes, it can be tricky to see errors in your own work. That’s why we’ve put together this handy Proof Checking Guide – so that you can catch your mistakes pre-print.
When checking your own work, it can be useful to enlist another set of eyes to give it the once over. Psychologically, because we know what we meant to say, sometimes our brains struggle to distinguish between the intent and the actualised.
Ensure that you supply the correct details to start with. You don’t want to be an ‘independant’ retailer instead of an ‘independent’ one. Your company is in ‘Basingstoke’ and not ‘Basinstoke’. Our busy designers assume that all of your information is correct.
Ensure that you double check spelling and grammar as well as details such as phone numbers and e-mail addresses. Have you included a landline and mobile number? Is your registered address on there? What about a VAT number?
Sizing can be a little confusing if you’re not used to the terminology. For example, A4 is bigger than A6. Is that the size you want? Check out more detailed sizing information in our Size Guide.
Are the pictures and logos sharp enough? Make sure that you know the size of the final product. You may have studied an enlarged version on your computer screen. View the proof at the correct size and make sure the text is legible.
Perhaps you have supplied your own picture. Do you need a higher resolution image? If you’re struggling with correct dpi we have a resolution solution with our Resolution Guide.
Eazy Print will go ahead with the work after you have approved the proofs. This will ensure that the work will be as you expect.
If you’d prefer to leave it to the pros, we do offer an in-house design service. Our graphic designers can create original artwork, that is guaranteed print-ready.
We have a variety of packages on offer, depending on what you’re looking for. Should you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our friendly team today!
