Apart from using state-of-the-art equipment and employing highly trained designers, we know the best printing techniques off by heart.
RGB colour mode mixes red, green and blue light to produce any colours you can think of. This technology and colour mixing process is used by all computer screens and electronic devices.
Unlike a computer screen, a printer cannot use light to paint colours on paper. The solution is that old favourite – ink.
The print industry uses four different ink colours: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key (black). These four colours, abbreviated as CMYK, can be mixed together in varying amounts, producing thousands of different shades and hues on paper.
Converting files to CMYK before submitting them to print will avoid any surprises with colour when the final product is produced. Please supply as a CMYK PDF, not RGB.
It is important to ensure that all images used are also converted to CMYK. Not all software is able to create files in CMYK colour mode. Contact us, and we will be delighted to help.
